Clean Cooking Sector Support (GACC)

Traditional cooking methods contribute to both long and short cycle climate emissions, deforestation, economic and gender inequality and devastating health consequences. The transition from traditional, through improved, to modern and clean cooking methods is a key agenda in achieving SDG 7 and the targets under the climate agreement in Paris. It is also part of the SE4All strategy and (I)NDCs of many developing countries.

The purpose of this programme to promote coordination in the clean cooking sector in five countries (Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya and Uganda), raising capital for the value chain for clean cooking and the promotion of Dutch solutions. Where possible, the programme will directly or indirectly contribute to the results of global initiatives and cooperation with international lead players.

The GACC programme has ended.
