Impact Cluster: BUCRA Building Unity for Climate Resilient Agriculture

The project Building Unity for Climate Resilient Agriculture (BUCRA) aims to revolutionise the farming sector in Egypt by capitalising upon Dutch digital solutions and knowledge recommendations, leading to the foundations for a collective farming model, improved agricultural practices, stability of income for farmers, as well as job creation for the new generation of farmers in Egypt, while at the same time creating exposure and increased demand for Dutch knowledge packages leading to increased collaboration between the Netherlands and Egypt.

For the main target group and beneficiaries of the project, smallholder farmers, the foreseen project's impact will be profound, resulting in increased crop yields, better income stability, and enhanced resilience to climate change. Government agencies and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) will benefit from the successful implementation of sustainable agricultural practices, aligning with broader goals of rural development and poverty alleviation. Private sector partners may find new opportunities for investment and collaboration, driving innovation and growth in the agricultural sector.
