SDUB Support Programme
The Sociedade de Desenvolvimento de Urbano de Beira (SDUB) is officially established in November 2018 by the city Council of Beira in Mozambique.
With the support of the Dutch Government (RVO and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) a Masterplan Beira 2035 has been developed in recent years to guide the city in resilient urban development.
The SDUB is the private entity of the Municipality of Beira that is authorized to prepare land for (social housing) and industrial activities and to drive and manage projects for social housing and commercial real estate projects.
The government of the Netherlands supports the organizational costs of the SDUB for the start-up phase and for the management of recovery projects.
