Charging infrastructure for Electric Vehicles – A Roadmap supporting the e-mobility development in Morocco
E-mobility reduces greenhouse gas emissions and improves air quality. The Roadmap to e-mobility and charging infrastructure for Morocco is developped together with the Institute Research Solar Energy et Energies Nouvelles (IRESEN) and addresses the following topics:
- Guidance for the development of an EV charging system and Moroccan market model
- A regulatory framework and incentives
- Recommendations to speed up the implementation of Electric Vehicles and a charging infrastructure
- EV charging as part of the energy transition and climate goals. Also, Research, Development and Innovation to support the transition to e-mobility
This Roadmap project contributes to the Moroccan-Dutch cooperation on e-mobility through:
- A study on the local EV context in Morocco;
- Exchange of knowledge and best practices from the Netherlands, relevant in the Moroccon context;
- Identification of an e-mobility pilot project and list of potential partners.
