The overall goal of the project is to contribute to the sustainable development of the smallholder sugar cane growers in the Nkomazi region which should lead to
- Increased income levels and a reduction of the poverty and food insecurity of the rural poor,
- Sustainable management and use of the water resources in the Komati river basin.
