Innovative Model for Comprehensive Maternal & Newborn Care in Nepal
A feasibility study to examine viability of a high quality maternal and newborn health package including technologies and services.
The activities will be concentrated around the Dhulikhel Hospital, a not-for-profit, non-government tertiary level hospital, that runs 18 primary level Outreach Clinics and also provides (para)medical training services.
The catchment population is the approximately 179 thousand women of the reproductive age and newborns living in the districts of Kavrepalanchok and Sindhupalchok, of which over one fifth (21.69%) is living in poverty.
