Hot potatoes: Phyto-sanitary mission from Pakistan
The work of the National Plant Protection Organization (NPPO) is based on International Standards intended to harmonize phytosanitary measures used in international trade and to respond to plant health risks according to the International Plant Protection Convention. Technical experts in contracting party governments share information and expertise to strengthen risk assessment and phytosanitary capacity.
In this project, Pakistani officials will get acquainted with Dutch methods of field inspections, soil sampling and analysis and other disease control measures, in particular related to seed potatoes and flower bulbs, essential crops in the bilateral trade.
This activity will facilitate Pakistan’s agricultural trade and investment in general and add value to their crop production.
