New Business Challenge Ghana 2019-2022
This project aims to stimulate youth employment and entrepreneurship are essential themes for the Netherlands embassy in Accra and the broader Netherlands policy. That is why the Netherlands embassy and RVO initiated the New Business Challenge Ghana.
The project will be extended for an additional three years, following five successful editions that resulted in employment, internships, start-ups, and enhanced job skills and entrepreneurial abilities for Ghanaian and Dutch students. Moreover, the project has also facilitated the discovery of new talent, fostered business opportunities, and promoted sustainable business practices for companies in Ghana and the Netherlands.
Again, students and recent graduates from the Netherlands and Ghana, forty each year, will work on business cases from at least four Dutch companies in Ghana and vice versa. Moreover, the network between the private sector, students and universities is further strengthened. More follow-up activities are organised to support the participants in their furture careers, either as employees or as entrepreneurs.
The Netherlands Embassy has launched the New Business Challenge as part of its efforts to promote youth entrepreneurship and employment. This initiative aims to foster synergy with other programs and contribute to the overall ecosystem.
