Orange Corners: Côte d'Ivoire – Legal framework 2019

Through this intervention, resources are made available to the Netherlands embassy in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, to construct a legal entity for Orange Corners with the help of a legal advisor.

Only if Orange Corners has a legal entity will they be able to take legal actions like, for example, signing contracts with private partners and service providers.

The legal advice will result in:

1. An overview of all legal forms of registration for the Orange Corners.
2. Advice about which legal form is most suitable for the aim of Orange Corners.
3. Aid in the registration of Orange Corners in Côte d’Ivoire.
4. Develop trademark registration for the logo in Côte d’Ivoire.

The following activities will be taken to achieve the results mentioned above:

• Prepare and draft a legal opinion regarding the most adequate legal vehicle for registration, including an overview of the legal implications each has.
• Draft the procedure for the registration of the legal entity.
• Prepare all (statutory) documents necessary for the registration, including an agreement between the partners and the service providers if needed.
• Registration of the legal entity.
