Capacity building horticulture Ukraine

Support capacity building of horticulture growers in the middle and western regions of the country to counterbalance the production capacity affected by the war. The trainings aim to enable agronomical and technical innovation and knowledge transfer to horticulture growers in new areas in the country. In particular, the project supports capacity building for female growers who have to take over the work from the man. In doing so, this projects aims in the medium term to secure access to affordable (healthy) food and gain an income.

The project has a positive impact on:
SDG 8: inclusive and sustainable economic growth: support productive activities, decent job creation, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation.
SDG 5: Gender equality: creating employment opportunities and income generation for women (and other vulnerable groups) affected by the war in Ukraine.
SDG 2: Food security.
