Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Action Plan

This project aims to set up a framework for extending support to KIAC and other relevant institutions involved in ADR services in Rwanda.
It builds on the earlier project Training and organisation of the Institute of Arbitration of the KIAC in Rwanda that lasted 23 months and ended in May 2019. The project was jointly implemented by KIAC as partner and beneficiary. The objective of the project was to strengthen the capacity of the KIAC; to enhance the service provisions for legal professionals in the ADR domain and to help define the ADR regulatory framework in East Africa.
CILC aims to conduct a fact finding mission of one-two weeks to Rwanda. From information gathered during the mission, CILC will create an exhaustive action plan on the current state of affairs and lay the foundation for the implementation of a future project with KIAC and other institutions engaged in ADR service.
