RtF – Kenya MIDP

The Merti Integrated Development Programme (MID-P) plans to set up and implement an RtF project – Community Led Actions On Resilience And Climate Change Adaptation (CLEAR) – in Lower stream of Ewaso Ngiro River.

The CLEAR project will be implemented in 16 locations in Isiolo County, Kenya. Isiolo County is a water-scarce county that mainly depends on the river Ewaso Ngiro as the main source of water.

As an RtF hub, MID-P takes a facilitative role and supports watershed users' especially community groups and committees for collective landscape development action. Additionally, MID-P works with existing local structures such as Ward Planning Committees to align the landscape action plans to the county planning and financing processes. They also lobby for funding from other climate adaption projects.
