DIB supporting KOKO Networks clean ethanol cooking for peri-urban and near-rural households in Kenya

KOKO focusses on mainstreaming liquid bio-ethanol cooking fuel as a fast, safe and affordable alternative to dirty cooking fuels such as charcoal. They partner with the downstream fuels industry and offer a suite of distribution, dispensing and end-use technologies. Under SDG7 Results, KOKO aims to target a new customer segment in their Greater Nairobi network. Currently, KOKO’s core customers earn 200 to 500 USD per month. Through targeted marketing approaches and customer credit schemes, KOKO wants to reach households which earn around 100 USD per month.
