East Africa, Tanzania: a Farmers' Roadmap of Expanding Successful Horticulture (EAT:FRESH)
This project aims to increase the performance of the horticulture sector in the Tanzanian Southern Highlands, and to make the Iringa and Njombe regions viable sources for premium horticulture produce by investing in agri-logistics, sustainable fertilizer development, and the development of smallholder farmers.
The project aims to transform horticulture practices in the region through solid cooperation with over 2,000 smallholder farmers that are encouraged and assisted in growing high quality, high value vegetables such as fine beans, peas and avocados.
