SEE-Clean Cooking: Mapping (green) credit lines for the biodigester sector in Kenya

The access-to-finance consultant Private Equity Support (PES) supports the development of access-to-finance activities in Kenya. They support the Lead Implementers of the African Biodigester Component (ABC) in Kenya to map local financial institutions, like Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations (SACCOs) and banks, for specific financing products for biodigesters.

The primary objective is to formulate, in collaboration with local financial institutions, customized biodigester loan products for smallholder farmers, train financial institutions in the dissemination of such loans, and establish a result-based financing mechanism for participating financial institutions.
