SEE-Clean Cooking: Implementation of the African Biodigester Component (ABC) in Kenya

GIZ is the lead implementer for the SEE-Clean Cooking African Biodigester Component (ABC) programme in Kenya.

The project aims to contribute to the growth of the commercial market for biodigesters, in support of national access and climate targets. The project follows a market-based approach that promotes the supply of high-quality biodigester technologies, boosts demand for biodigesters, and improves the enabling conditions for the local biodigester market to flourish. It is expected that the project enables suppliers of biodigesters to achieve economies of scale, and enables the market to reach its expansion stage and continue to grow self-sustainably.
