SEE-Clean Cooking: Implementation of the African Biodigester Component (ABC) in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger

SNV is the lead implementer for the SEE-Clean Cooking African Biodigester Component (ABC) in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.

The project aims to contribute to growing commercial markets for biodigesters in the Sahel region, supporting national energy access and climate targets. The project follows a market-based approach that promotes the supply of high-quality biodigester technologies, boosts demand for biodigesters, and improves the enabling conditions for the local biodigester market to flourish. It is expected that the market in Burkina Faso reaches its expansion stage, continues to grow self-sustainably, and to develop basic market foundations in Mali and Niger.
