Port, Transport and Logistics Centre of Excellence

A Centre of Excellence for the inland transport sector has been found in Barranquilla, Colombia by STC and Universidad del Norte. The inauguration of the Centre took place on 2 September 2015.
The Centre of Excellence provides educational programmes at a practical, tactical and strategic level and technical assistance in the field of port, transport, and logistics to participants (students), public and private organizations as well as branch organizations and industry associations in Colombia and the surrounding region.

Education by the Centre of Excellence provides participants with increased career and employment possibilities, while at the same time contributing to the improvement of the operational efficiency of the Colombian transport and logistic system. This also benefits the port, transport and logistics industries in the region.

Enhanced logistic operations in Colombia improves commercial relations and strengthen the economic ties between the Netherlands and Colombia.

The Centre of Excellence exists for an unlimited period of time and delivers life-long learning education with dual STC and UniNorte certification.
