The Netherlands - Sudan Agri Link

Sudan has great potential in the area of arable fertile land, good climate and adequate water availability. Yet, there are severe food shortages and there is widespread food insecurity. Sudan is facing low productivity in agriculture. This has profound implications for the food supply and food security.

The local government sector and producers are faced with a gap in knowledge and skills to get the crop efficiently to meet local demand.

The Netherlands, however, is leading in terms of efficiency (output per hectare) in agriculture, and have the necessary knowledge and experience. A consortium of five Dutch companies will assist the Sudanese sector.
